Couple’s Photos in Central Kentucky

Since first moving to the Bluegrass State I have been enthralled with these fields of purple that pop up in early spring. They are a first sign that the earth is awakening and only grace us with their beauty for a short time. I had been on the search for a public area that I could find these in, and finally two years later I came across this gorgeous spot right outside of Lexington, Kentucky at The Kentucky Horse Park.

Michael and Aaliyah are young, vibrant college students who met in high school and have been dating for over 4 years. From the short time we spend together I could tell these two shared a love for each other and the Lord. They have gentle hearts and were so up for anything, and really let my creativity flow through this entire session. I can picture a loving proposal and wedding on the horizon for these two.

Lexington Kentucky Engagement Session Location

I have said it once and I will say it again. The kentucky Horse Park has to be one of my favorite locations for photoshoots. During each season you get a different scerene view and this session was no different.

Typically when I photograph engagement photos at The Kentucky Horse Park I like to venture farther into the park itself but this time we kept it easy and stayed in this one location for the entire time. I don’t have a single regret with my decision. The outfit choices of Michael and Aaliyah were the perfect pairing with the background and my love for light and airy photography.

There are many styles of photography and lately the trend of Dark and moody photos are rising. I have stuck true to my roots and love for the light and airy, true to color style photography that I feel will be so timeless and truly images you that your grandchildren will “WOW” over!

Light and airy photography is like capturing a scene bathed in soft, gentle sunlight. It’s all about creating images that feel fresh, dreamy, and full of life. Imagine a photograph where the colors are bright, the shadows are soft, and everything seems to glow with a subtle warmth.
